CONQUEST KIRBY
14" male, broken coat

Kirby is a healthy 5 year old neutered male. He is fully housetrained and obedience trained to
level 3. While he is a strong, energetic terrier he is friendly with other dogs and loves to play.

Kirby was relinquished  for adoption. His owners were getting older &
not able to give him enough exercise.
 
He is a 5 year old, broken coated, large, neutered male in excellent health. Kirby enjoys
playing with other dogs. He is friendly with all canines regardless of size and sex &
Kirby is also good with cats. A well behaved canine in the house,
Kirby is fully house trained. He has been around horses and seems
to ignore their existence. Kirby does not bark much.

I can take him for a walk in the country off leash with several other dogs &
after he has had a good run, he comes back to be leashed up and taken home.
He has been obedience trained to level 3, will "heel" on leash, sit, stay etc.
He is a bit rusty on the obedience lessons and needs a "tune up".

Kirby is not an alpha dog...........my female bosses him around and makes it clear that
she is in charge. Kirby readily accepts that position in life of not being top dog.
Yet, like most JRTs Kirby requires a knowledgeable canine owner
who can offer strong leadership & not spoil him rotten.

He was not raised around children so to be safe it would be
best if he went into an all adult home

Crate trained, current on vaccinations and healthy as could be, Kirby will be a
great companion to anyone who wants an active four legged friend. 

A fenced yard or safe place to romp is imperative.

The email letter below was sent from a family who had adopted an adult female Jack Russell Terrier named Dreamie. At the time this letter was written Dreamie had been part of their family for 1 1/2 years. This is an example of how a well bred and raised Jack Russell with a solid temperament can integrate into a household as an adult.

We've had a very busy year, making new memories with Dreamie and learning so much about her! In September we welcomed a very healthy baby boy into the world. Dreamie, my little mom made sure I did my job well. Anytime the baby was crying, or needed attention, Dreamie was there to make sure all was taken care of. She has been wonderful with the baby, not once have we had to worry if she would harm him or not. Dreamie is truly a perfect fit for our family; she is patient, understanding, kind, and always eager to please.
 
Every night, Dreamie and I put the kids to bed. We snuggle in and read stories, she sits at my feet while I feed the baby..then after a hard day, she warms my bed and keeps me cosy. Dreamie, is the dog we've always wanted for our family. I thank the both of you, for taking such good care of her, until we found her. I can't picture our day without her.
 
The year, Dreamie went out for Halloween as a little 'pupkin'. My husband was a little embarrassed to take her out..but she went with the kids. On her birthday, she was given special Dog cookies from Bark and Fritz..happy birthday ones, for the special girl! This Christmas, she helped put up the tree and Santa will be filling her stocking shortly (yes she has a stocking on our mantle, right next to the kids!) She's learned to love pancakes, carrots, bananas and apples...along with pig ears and marrow bones! 2010, should be another good year for her! We plan on taking her camping this summer, along with a trip to Prince Edward Island to swim in the ocean. 
 
My husband and I really can't believe how well she fits in..it feels like she's always been a part of our family. We LOVE our Dreamie girl!
 
She would make you very proud!
