To train or
not to train...................a well trained JRT makes for
a lifetime of fun and laughter. View the video at this link;

This JRT is not a Conquest Terrier but is representative of
what can be accomplished with proper training. JRTs are so
athletic and intelligent and they need a "job".

Fun Loving Puppies for Fun
Loving People
I was
“bitten by the Jack Russell bug” many years ago & this
entire web site is a testament to my “addiction”. Yes, I
call it an “addiction” because if you are like
myself & many others, once you’ve had a Jack Russell
you will never want a different small breed. Jack Russell
Terriers (JRTs) are the epitome of the
“BIG DOG” in a
“small package”, which in itself can be both
endearing & challenging. They are energetic and ultra
intelligent so with the proper training to channel their
energy in the correct direction, JRTs are a ton of fun:) Be
sure to take the time to view the video at this link and
enjoy, yet another, well trained JRT;
http://www.flixxy.com/worlds-coolest-dog.htm.
BEFORE,
you take the plunge on the acquisition of a JRT puppy, please take the time to
click on this link
http://www.terrier.com/breed/jrprofiler.php3 and take the
JRT “INTERACTIVE PROFILER”
to see how compatible a Jack Russell might be for your
household. Please take into consideration that acquiring a
puppy is a
life long
commitment. They will become an important family
member, not a disposable chattel.
I hope that this information will enlighten you in your
quest for a puppy & help you make the decision as to
whether or not a JRT is the right dog for you.

Breeding outgoing, healthy puppies is fun, yet full of
challenges along the way. Thorough research is completed on
each & every prospective litter's pedigree with an emphasis
placed first and foremost on a stable temperament & health.
With the JRTCA/JRTCC’s unique breed registry, individual
adult terriers are registered on their own merit no younger
than one year of age. Each terrier must pass a comprehensive
Vet examination for health before that terrier is allowed to
enter into our exclusive breed Registry and used in my
breeding program. All adults are BAER (hearing) tested &
CERF (eyes) tested normal before proceeding with planned
breedings.
I
provide each puppy purchaser with a 2 year written health
guarantee against any genetic disorder. I also offer each
new owner a sample of the puppy food to get started, a four
(4) generation pedigree, vaccination record, vet health
certificate, information about raising and training your new
puppy along with ongoing support after you take your
puppy home.
Along this vein, Conquest Terriers are fed only the top
quality brand of dog food interspersed with a raw diet to
keep their health at its optimum level.

All litters of puppies are born and raised in the house.
They are stimulated from 3 to 16 days of age using the
“Early Neurological Stimulation Method” developed by Carmen
L.
Battaglia, PhD. Studies have shown
that this mild form of stress is enough to stimulate
hormonal, adrenal and pituitary systems. When tested later
as adults, these same animals were better able to withstand
stress than their littermates who were not exposed to the
same early stress exercises. As adults, they responded to
stress in “a graded fashion”, while their non-stressed
littermates responded in an “all or nothing way”. Benefits
of this stimulation as observed in canines that were exposed
to the stimulation exercises are;
1 – Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
2 – Stronger heart beats
3 – Stronger adrenal glands
4 – More tolerance to stress
5 – Greater resistance to disease.
In tests
of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active &
exploratory than their non-stimulated littermates over which
they were dominant in competitive situations.

Conquest pups are introduced to litter training as soon as
the weaning process starts, which is around 4 weeks of age.
By the time they are ready for their new
homes,
they are very clean and use their litter on a consistent
basis. Due to their litter training they realize that there
is a “good and a bad place to go”, they easily make the
transition to “potty” training outside.
They are
well socialized taking part in many functions, with numerous
car rides under their belt. The pups are socialized with our
cats as well as our large canine pets. They are temperament
tested at 7 weeks of age which is used as a gauge to place them in
ideally compatible homes. I strongly believe
that puppies should be picked on personality alone, NOT coat
type or markings. Therefore I help people make their pick of
a suitable pet puppy around 7 to 8 weeks of age once the true
personality of each individual
is identified. Most pups are ready to leave for their new
homes between 8 and 9 weeks of age.

All pups are wormed several times before leaving my home.
Visitations are allowed so long as you have not visited
another kennel prior to coming here and you wear clean
clothes when handling young puppies. This precaution was
instituted in order to protect the puppies from a transfer
of parasites and viruses which could unknowingly be brought
in on clothing.
I sell the majority of my Jack Russell Terrier puppies as
pets (they must be spayed or neutered). I require a non-refundable deposit of
$100.00 to reserve a puppy if you are within driving
distance to pick up your puppy, BUT if I am shipping your
puppy, I require a $250.00 non-refundable deposit.
I accept checks, money orders or Pay Pal for your deposits
& receipts are mailed, if requested. The balance is due when
you pick up your puppy at approx. 8 weeks old or one week in
advance of shipping your puppy.

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog,
they take a piece of my heart with them.
And every new dog who comes into my life
gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough, all the components of my heart
will be dog,
and maybe I will become as generous and loving as they
are."
